Copper braid making a ring.
Silver being poured into the ring mold
Silver in sand from a cast of a ring.

Wedding rings designed using a digital design for braid mathematics, then braided by hand in copper wire and cast in silver. The weave pattern, a cyclic permutation threading each strand through every position, was selected from a systematic exploration of all permutations.

Joint work with Eugene Sargent.

It was written up on my blog Maxwell Demon.
